My Real Techniques Brushes (Face Expert, Setting, Blush & Shading brushes)

So I finally got those famous Samantha Chapman's brushes and I was SO excited to tell you about them. First I have to say that before using them I used to apply my makeup with my MAC, Estee Lauder and some other brushes. But now I would really skip most of my old brushes as I find that even MAC brushes are a bit scratchy for my sensitive skin. And RT brushes are soft like heaven. So let's take a closer look and find out what I like/dislike about these brushes.

1. Blush Brush. ($9)

Best. Brush. Ever. Honestly, this is the softest brush I have ever used! As you can see above (it's on the right) it is really big even comparing to the foundation brush (which is in the middle) and some people don't like to apply blush with such big fluffy brush. But not me. I love it so much that I'm planning to order 2 more - one for bronzer and one for my Guerlain Meteorites powder. This brush is just amazing!

2. Face Expert Brush. ($9)

Let me tell you something first - I HATED foundation brushes! Hated them all. I have always applied my foundation with fingers because I hated the feeling of ANY foundation brush I have ever tried. No brush could ever live me satisfied so I was really skeptical about this one. But I've heard so many nice things about it that I couldn't resist the temptation and I bought it - and I was so surprised about the result! It's very dense, short, small and super soft!   I don't know how could I use my fingers for a foundation because this one lives my skin look flawless and airbrushed and I like the size of it - it's very easy to blend everything and to cover the sides of my nose (which I thought would be impossible with any foundation brush). It's easy to wash it (just like every RT brush) which I also love about it.

3. Setting Brush ($8)

This is a small, quite flat brush created mainly to help you with setting your concealer on the under-eye area. Some bloggers say it also works nice when you use it for contouring but I don't think so. I use it to actually sat my concealer and I also find it great to use with my MAC MSF or other highlighters. Nice brush, but not my favorite comparing to other RT (I still think that the Face Expert and Blush Brush are the world's best brushes and I suggest buying them first)

4. Shading Brush. ($6)

Nice brush. Nothing special but I use it all the time to apply the main color on the lid. Soft as any other RT brush I've tried, easy to work with and I think I'm gonna get some more of these because MAC brushes are SO expensive (for an example - I got my 224 in the official store for more than $50! Can you imagine that?). It's softer than MAC brushes and it feels nice on the skin but in doesn't do wonders IMO.

All of these brushes are super soft and do great work. They don't shed, never bleed and I can't tell you what I didn't like about them because I LOVE them. I will buy some more next time. And I really recommend you buying Face Expert and Blush Brush first - I swear by them! Sure you will fall in love with them as I did.

Being honest, I continue buying MAC brushes for my eyes but I never use any of my old brushes for blush or foundation and I'm gonna use only my RT brushes for bronzers, highlighting and powders as well.

I got everything from iHerb. You can use my code for a $10 off any $40 order or $5 off any cheaper order. My code is RLT 478.
