MAC Shy Girl Lipstick (swatch + Review)

MAC Shy Girl is a great nude lipstick that is perfect for skin that has warm undertones. It is pale, beige and pink color. Depending on lightning, it can look from apricot beige to pale pink, but I would describe it as warm nude anyway.

It is a "Cremesheen" so the formula is moisturizing as well (though MAC Cremesheens doesn't work that good on my lips - I always have to put a lot of lip balm under it). Staying power is okay, but not too impressive. I like the delicate shinning this lipstick gives to my lips.

It looks too dark in the tube, but it is a light and sheer color, with beautiful warm pink undertone. Here is  a picture of Shy Girl from the official site:

And here are the swatches (1 - with flash; 2 - without flash) :

I have VERY pale cool-toned skin and unfortunately I did'n know 'Shy Girl' would look so orangy on me. I was searching for a perfect nude and I bought this lipstick online so I didn't swatch first. So I kinda regret buying it, honestly. I would go for some more pinkish, more cool-toned nude next time.

It was also quite pricey, though it was cheaper online - I got it for  24$, while it costs 30$ (!) in stores in my country (yep, living in Europe is great, but some thing are really disturbing). But the real price I believe is 15$, so that is not that bad.

But still I think this lipstick is absolutely gorgeous! If you're searching for a warm-toned nude lipstick that won't make your lips look almost white or barbie-pink , but still wouldn't look too plain and boring - this one would be just great for you.

P.S.: I was considering on mixing this lipstick with some more blue-toned one, but I can't find it anywhere after I returned from my holidays in Italy! Such a shame( Probably lost it somewhere in the airport in Rome. So happy I had done these swatches before I lost my lipstick!

Have you tried this one? What's your favorite nude lipstick? Leave comments and subscribe!

XOXO, Stasy
